Following a meeting with Labour party MP for Ealing, West London, the LTTE flags which have been flying shamelessly in Parliament Square have been taken down as of yesterday.
According to information provided by those who were present at the meeting, Stephen Pound (MP) "learnt a more credible side to the story". He was "delighted to see the whole spectrum of ethnic communities of Sri Lanka" represented at the meeting speaking with one voice the truth surrounding the terrorist problem. There have been Sinhalese, Tamil, Burgher, Muslim, Sinhalese/Tamil mixed, Sinhalese/Tamil inter-married, white British and even a Sri Lankan Jewess at the meeting. He was particularly impressed with two Sinhalese/Tamil mixed children who accompanied their parents to the meeting. Mr Pound made references to the orderly, well behaved and decent manner in which the forum progressed. He admitted to have now been “heard with both ears”.

British Tamils Forum appeals to the President of India to reconsider the decision to reject the mercy plea of Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan, the three accused of conspiring to assassinate former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
The accused have languished in solitary confinement for the past twenty years living in prolonged anxiety with the fear of being executed at any time. The Supreme Court of India has itself commuted death sentences in a number of cases due to prolonged delay in deciding mercy petitions.
BTF, kindly requests the Government of India, to commute their death sentence, on humanitarian grounds, in accordance with the non-violent traditions of India.
Most countries around the world which have a much shorter history of civilisation than India have abolished capital punishment, as they recognise the act as primitive and barbaric.
As an emerging world leader we are hopeful that India would repeal the death penalty as it goes against her commitment to uphold the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Yet again, the LTTE's front organisations are dictating the media agenda in London and other Western bloc cities. They have been allowed to make the most outrageous claims of 'genocide' and civilian casualties.
The GOSL representatives in the UK are conspicuous by their absence on radio, TV and mainstream press (please correct me if I'm wrong).
We urgently need to get proven, articulate proponents of the GOSL's case. Professionals like Dayan Jayatillke, Mahinda Samarasinghe (who gave an excellent performance on BBC's HardTalk), Palitha Kohona and Rajiva Wijesinha, made available to instantly rebut LTTE propaganda.
Their calm manner will win over the ranting performances often seen from LTTE representatives.
I've said this before and I'll repeat it again. The gains made by our forces, paid for in lost lives and limbs are in danger of frittered away by a dismal performance of our representatives abroad. It is imperative that this is treated seriously and quickly.
As the LTTE loses its' military capability, it has switched its' struggle to the PR front.

This blog is a tribute to King Ellara who was loved and respected by all ethnic communities in Sri Lanka during his rule. The Mahavamsa mentions that King Ellara was a good and just King.

whatever defensive maneuvres are taking place I think the SL government must be very careful about civilian casualties and our own soldiers casualties.
Since no point sacrificing our own soldiers and civilians lives since the LTTE is pretty much defeated anyway.

I am deeply sadened by the current status of UNP led by the most anti Sri Lankan and despicable men like Ranil Wickramasinghe, Lakshman Kiriella, Ravi Karunanayake, Vajira Abeywardena,and Jayalath Jayawardena. A good patriotic opposition is essential to counter future threats against our homeland like what we see these days. No matter, which party is in power, we need to resist intrusions together.

Such gasses do exist, you only have to look at the periodic table, there are two problems thought:
1) It needs a sophisticated deployment / detonation mechanism, which the SLAF does not possess.
2) Its a war crime.
