The LTTE international ring has started counter attacking the Government's claim of victory by exploiting the gaping PR left open when the President decided to delay the victory announcement.
Mouth piece of the LTTE - TamilNet has released a pre-recorded messags claiming to be from "Colonel" Soosai claiming that the GoSL is refusing to negotiate LTTE's terms of surrender and that "25,000" civilians are at risk of death. Pro LTTE media sources like the BBC have quickly picked up on this message and is broadcasting this as headline news. GoSL is at risk of jeopardising its reputation by sheer ignorance, laziness and incompetence, delaying the message puts us at risk of international sanctions and delay or cancellation of the IMF loan. When the country needs the the President the most, he is resting after his short flight from Jordan, the excuse given for the delay is that the Government instituitions are closed and the President is unable to get accurate statistics, facts, etc. to include in his message. How about identifying the Government servants they need to get the facts from, charter a bus, go their houses, knock on their doors and take them to their offices and get them to give the information they need. For our part we can confirm that the message from Soosai was NOT released this afternoon and not a single civilian is at risk of ANYTHING, they have ALL been RESCUED.
We urge our readers to lobby their Government, Ministerial and SLDF contacts to get the President to deliver his message without further adieu.

I want to update you on a few things, i clarified during the last few hours. My brother is well, he had his ankle fractured. but he will will walk fine, one of my classmates from Ananda will operate on him soon.
The last 72 hours have been harrowing, the fight was a scene similar to D-day landing seen in Saving Private Ryan movie but with suicide attacks added on. The beach front landing crossing the lagoon on dingys from the lagoon and simultaneously landing from the sea while LTTE was punched from the rear caught them quickly. They never recovered and the whole defense line collapsed. In the meantime SF teams were in mulliyaveil (sp?) jungles awaiting for LTTEs who never made it across the lagoon because they were also hammered by SLLR and GW regiments. It soon became a killing ground. I am told that this was the 'return' for all those massacres by LTTE against our soldiers, they killed our brothers and many instances when captured alive went further to torture them by cutting off fingers, sucking all the blood off before ending theirs lives.
You will hear during the next few hours great news. We have a plan and it is executed to brilliance.

What did we defeat?
LTTE never stood up for Sri Lankan Tamils. They took them hostage to achieve their own goals. During the process, they blackened Sri Lankan Tamil nation throughout the world, attaching an image of terrorism and destroyed the democratically elected Tamil leadership. Sri Lankan Tamil culture was destroyed bit by bit propagating that they should seek to go abroad and earn for LTTE, get married to foreigners for the purpose of spreading LTTE message amongst the other nations etc. This is apart from the fact of killing a large number of Sri Lankan Tamils who were against these kinds of ideas which LTTE stood for.
LTTE was created by the Western imperialists to achieve their neo-colonialist goals. Very unfortunately, India also played a role in this. Indian interest at the point was to divert any possible separatist forces emerging in Thamilnadu towards Sri Lanka so they keep their territory clean. However, this shows the lack of insight and foresight of Indian leadership at that time. As we saw later LTTE went as far as killing Rajiv Gandhi in Indian soil.
West had entrusted a broader agenda to LTTE. They wanted LTTE to carve out ThamilEelam in Sri Lanka first. After all, Sri Lanka is an easier point to attack first during that point with a weaker military, corrupt leadership, lack of vision on building international relationships and inexperienced politicians in understanding international conspiracies. Once, LTTE carves out ThamilEelam, the foreign forces have a safe haven in the region. ThamilEelam is the Israel created amongst Arab nations. ThamilEelam would have received military and rebuilding aid from the west to be stable and strong.
Next target is to destabilize India. There is no place like ThamiEelam for this. Now the Tamils in Thamilnadu would be looking to South and get the taste of separatism. As ThamilEelam would be loaded with foreign aid, they would see opportunities and development. Now, South India would also slowly push towards fighting for a separate home land for Tamils there.
Now South of Sri Lanka would be in tatters followed by the loss of thirds of land and two thirds of the coast. The population would be poor while the political leadership is weak and vulnerable to constant change, making the country further weak. This allows imperialists to exploit resources of Sri Lanka easily with less resistance from people. Easy access to resources and cheap labor due to poverty translates to higher margins for multinational companies.
Same thing will happen to India and eventually, India also would fall apart. The whole region is destabilized and driven to be like Somalia currently. With no proper rule of law in the region, anybody can come and exploit all the resources in the region. Few western countries would have military harbors in Galle of Sri Lanka, Trincomalee of ThamilEelam and military airports in India and ThamilEelam.
Now, the oil flow from mid east to Far East, goods flow from far east to west are all under the control of the west. The total sub continental trade routes or the modern silk road would be under the control of imperialist countries and their companies. This would help them to face China, their growing threat and the biggest fear. Remember, China is fast developing and threatening to overtake Anglo Saxon Empire (US and Europe) on the economic front. This will take away the glory of the west, restoring the order of the East on a global scale. On the other hand, after taking over the Indian sub continent and Iran, Anglo Saxon Empire would rule from Sues Cannel to the western borders of China. This is a vital part of their plan of re-colonialization (Remember, Regaining Sri Lanka- they really meant it folks!).
With the defeating of LTTE, our great army delayed a vital part of their plan. But they will be back again with a different look. That’s why we need to be very vigilant.

Tamil Tiger leader dead: S. Lanka defence official

COLOMBO: The leader of Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels, Velupillai Prabhakaran, was shot dead on Monday while trying to flee government troops, a senior defence official told.
Prabhakaran tried to flee the area in an ambulance along with two close aides, but was ambushed and killed, the senior defence ministry official said on condition he not be named.
"He was killed with two others inside the vehicle. There will be a formal announcement later," the official said.
