Congratulations President Percy

Well done Chena Boys and Veddah Girls, you voted wisely and ensured that anti Sri Lankan and unpatriotic forces are kept out of power. Our only hope is that the two patriots reconcile once again and work for the betterment of the country, since it was done already to wipe out 30 year old terror, we don't see why they can't do it again to eradicate corruption and mismanagement of the economy.

Sounds funny Mahen. Not teh content but teh tone.

Anyway my genuine wish was this until yday. But seeing teh way how SF deviates I suspect it.

The main losers of Swan Op are SF and Mongala. SF was not only dumped by MR admin, but also general public. MS has expiry marked with current parliament expiry. Even UNP won't take him in. So these two ppl will fall into the hopeless position of former socialists like Wikarabahu. And of course CBK. That is to defame SL.... And work hand in hand with intl and tiger elements destablishing SL.

Mahen,

You sound somewhat depressed, but Cheer Up, I know that what is good for Sri Lanka is good for you.

Sorry to say, SF shot himself in the foot when he accused his brothers-in-arms of war crimes, allied himself with separatists (TNA), former terrorists (JVP), and other anti-national forces, merely to get elected.

He fell from being the third most admired man in Sri Lanka to someone people would rather forget about. Unbounded ambition, and poor self-control, can do that to people. There is a lesson here for all of to learn from.

On the positive side, the people of Sri Lanka are a very forgiving lot. SF should now enjoy his retirement and the company of his family, and become involved in charitable activities.

I genuinely feel sorry for SF!! He is a hero of my time. Nobody (even he himself with his stupid actions) cannot take away what he has given to the country.

He could contributed further,
1. Improve the skills of the three forces and assign them for overseas postings. ie UN peace keeping force
2. "Sell" our experiance - Provide consultancy to other govts, organisations and agencies on how to combat terrorisum/insurgency
3. Develop Ranaviru Seva to provide needed assistance to the war heroes. He could have collected enough funds if he went round the world explaining the diaspora why we should take care of the war heroes.
4. Get involved with the civil administration in the north and east and help improve the living standards of the people there while taking care of the security concerns.
5. I know lot of people may not agree with me on this, but he could have done a yeoman service to the sports field had he accepted the secratary post. There is no dicipline in most of the sports bodies and they are not being managed properly. SF could have made a real difference which would reflect not only at national level but also internationally.

I feel these are lost opportunities for the nation....

Ragu;

Many may disagree with what I'm gonna say. But even today, general SF the commander of SLA is a hero in my heart. Yet the retired same is a traitor. What matters is the presence and future.

However, seeing everything I disagree with you for many of your comments of SF's contribution in diff areas. SF is NOT a disciplined, and organized man. He's an exceptional individual with eccentric nature and extreme talents in some areas.

His conduct of war was not disciplinary. But he knew the context jolly well. By being non-disciplinary and talented he won it in most unconventional manners. Still there are claims of unnecessary pressure and bad practices such as Muhamalai etc. But he won it. What needed to combat the unconventional LTTE was the same kind SF.

When there were matters of cordination communication management discipline it was the other hero the great GR who forced his powers on eccentric general to retain sanity. It is a team effort.

Mahen can comment further on this.

Nevertheless, the eccentric extremes of SF fitted the war yet not civil service or politics. We were saved by a whisker [of 1.9million voters] that he lost.

I wish taht he will not further step towards traitorous path, but realize repent and try to remedy what he did. And taht of course if he hasn't done enough to end up in jail.

Mahen's message of reconciliation is good, but the bulk is in Fonseka's court. He has to play his role in a big way and come back teh distance he walked away from national interest into the enemies hand. That, first by humbly accepting it.

If I had a way to convey this message I will be telling this to Fonseka first. Therefore Mahen, try pushing this through your immaculate contacts towards to SF. If you can bring him to understand the calamity of his actions and regret it, you have done a great service.

Mahen the small ball of this gigantic game is in your court. Worthy trying than waiting and hoping.

Remember how JHU hijacked Ven. Soma's revolution of cleaning up stinky aspects of Sinhalese Buddhism ?

Well, the folks running Defence Forum has done the same thing to DefenceWire when they decided to go MIA.

Unlike DefenceWire, defence forum consists of idiot parrots like Ananda-USA, Sam Perea and the gang.

Anyone with an opposing views to theirs will be chopped like LTTE chopped Tamils with moderate views.

Dead LTTE is being reincarnated within Sinhalese now.

Like JHU, Defence Forum represents the comical elements of our culture.

Look at the attitude and the language of one of the moderators of the of the Sri Lanka Defence forum. Can anyone see a single post of mine there?

The moderators of that forum is like a bunch of mad dogs and they delete posts 24/7 if things are not good looking for them.

I am going to post 5 times during next 24 hours and every one can see what they are going to do for me.
