EFT urges public to be vigilant

The LTTE had a total of 5 Zlins 143s, two were taken out by anti aircraft (AA) fire at Colombo and Katunayake, 2 were burned down by the LTTE themselves, and one was reported to have been taken out by an SLAF F-7 over Mullaitivu west. However, MI has cast doubt over the F-7 interception as no trace of the wreckage has been recovered, UAVs have not observed any aircraft debris and Wanni civilians arriving in cleared areas have reported that they have not seen any aircraft falling out of the sky. MI believes that TAF is planning another suicide attack on high profile targets in Colombo or its suburbs and is urging civilians to be vigilant of any such attack. MI believes that they have carried the remaining Zlin to the safe zone. Zlins can take off even from dirt tracks or graveled roads. In addition to the Zlin, the LTTE has taken an underwater vessel, a light helicopter (Robinson’s) and a high tech speed boat, all these of these are designated escape vehicles for the top leaders.

Electronic and print media had reported that LTTE were developing short range missiles and heavy gravity bombs with the assistance of mercenary Norwegians, EFT can confirm that the mercenaries were German and not Norwegians. A considerable numbers of mercenaries were in the LTTE payroll having arrived under the guise of “NGO workers” during the CFA days.

EFT can also confirm the execution of LTTE spokesman Rasiah Ilanthirayan (nom de guerre Marshall). Rasiah tried to flee to cleared areas with his family, however he was apprehended by LTTE intelligence cadres. A few days ago, SLA fired artillery at identified LTTE targets in Puthumathalan, a few cadres unable to withstand the barrage ran into the cleared areas and handed themselves to the SLA. Among the surrendered cadres is the driver of the former LTTE intelligence head (Pottu Amman). The driver now in Sri Lanka police custody confessed that he had worked for Pottu for 3 years and confirmed to the Police that Rasiah was executed by the intelligence unit for trying to desert the outfit. LTTE circles and the diaspora have been aware of Rasiah’s execution for quite a while now.

The battle for the remaining LTTE is now mostly fought with light arms and more often that not, direct fire is being used. The remaining LTTE territory is around 28 Sq Kms and only a few battalions are engaged in action with most kept in reserve and others conducting search and clear operations. The 55th was planning a lighting strike to clear the areas south of Chalai and arrive at the gates of the Safe Zone, however, this offensive was cancelled due to its risky nature. More conventional methods will be used to clear the remaining areas south of Chalai. The 55th Division Commander - Prasanna Silva - is an ex-Special Forces commander, he is known to use unconventional tactics.

Earlier, the leave policy for the SLA was 5 days for every 115 days duty, now it is 5 days for every 30 days duty, this speaks volumes of the SLA’s achievements and reflects the nature of the low intensity battles currently being fought. EFT would like to clarify that Special Forces (SF) is not a separate division, usually each division has 2 or 3 attached Commando units and 1 or 2 SF units along with offensive units, defensive units, Engineering Corps, Military Police, artillery units, signal corps, communication units etc. A division usually has around 12,500 troops, less than that it is a Task Force.

MI is fully aware that former Tiger cadres are coming along with the civilians, this is not seen as a threat as civilians after arriving in cleared areas are more than happy to identify and hand over the cadres. MI’s own surveillance is also used to distinguish between Tigers and ordinary civilians, using both these methods a total 420 cadres were arrested and sent over to rehabilitation camps after extracting information.

You do realise the advantages a lower currency has in terms of export and tourism activity right?

You know... two of Sri Lanka's most important economic pillars!

Time for you to quit spamming and take a few hours to familiarise yourself with some of the basic tenants of modern economics.

Yes... the GoSL are spending like drunk sailors in a bar full of cheap hookers but you seem terribly ill-informed on an issue you can't quit spamming about.

Mahen,

I just read Rivira Rana Bimen (use IE to read) by Tissa Ravindra. He says that there is a zone in NFZ out of bounds for civilians. It is very puzzling as to why we don't carry on such LTTE only areas in this moment? Where is the decapitation attack we were talking about? Can you enlighten us please?

No, I don't have an Economics degree like Navindran anna. I am not super-intelligent like most Jaffna Tamils.

Velavan Master,

So much for fake intellectual superiority of Miss Information. I have seen this attitude in a bunch of green monkeys who were ready to give away my country to terrorists. At a luckily juncture of destiny, we found some courageous men who can stand above these brain dead monkeys and naysayers.

Miss Information are you the author of Lanka Business Online?

Sam, yeah I wonder who is more super-intelligent Navindran anna or Miss Information achchi. Navindran anna has proven beyond any iota of doubt that the falling rupee is inextricably linked to the imminent collapse of the Sri Lankan economy. Now Miss Information achchi is disputing! I have no clue how the rupee falling can increase exports and reduce imports, so I am utterly confused.

Who are killing Tamils?

Now LTTE supporting Tamil Diaspora are crying Tamil genocide in Sri Lanka. I would say most of these Tamils are not even Sri Lankan Tamils. Most of the Sri Lankan Tamils are peace loving people who live side by side with their Sinhalese brothers and sisters. They have no problem living in one Sri Lanka. They think themselves as Sri Lankans.

When LTTE started creating trouble in Sri Lanka, most of the other non Sri Lankan Tamils assumed themselves to be Sri Lankan Tamils. Sri Lankan Tamils usually belong to high casts of Hindu religion and are highly cultured. They were usually well to do and have hardly any reason to go out of the country. However, the Britishes settled South Indian low cast Tamils outside their country inn regions such as Africa, Sri Lanka and Malaysia for their estate work. These were desperate communities and were ready to anything to come out of their desperate status. They are also referred to as Coolies.

These coolies were well known to be economic refugees in these parts and usually would take the first opportunity to migrate to developed world, who are responsible for uplifting their living conditions. Sri Lankan (and other high cast) Tamils referred to these people as Sakkilli and Kochchi. Most of them turned away from Hindu religion and became Christians, where such cast systems were not apparent.

So this Sakkilli Diaspora created by the Britishes took the opportunity and cried wolf just as LTTE started its action and fled to developed world claiming they are Sri Lankan Tamils. However, Sri Lankan Tamils, being patriotic people did not really tolerate this. After all, they have Sri Lankan royal blood in them. They have ruled this country peacefully for centuries and have worked for the betterment of Sinhalese and Tamils alike.

So these Sakkilli and Kochchi started annihilating true Sri Lankan Tamils. They started with Alfred Duraiappah. People such as Lakshman Kadirgamar were even candidates for Sri Lankan leadership. But LTTE did not need a non Sakkilli leadership even under Tamils. So the killings went on. Additionally, they continued to recruit child soldiers from Sri Lankan Tamils and expose them to the war, so the Sri Lankan Tamil race dies out. Afterwards, Sakkilli and Kochchi can claim the resources in the areas where these Sri Lankan Tamils lived while also drawing on economic refugee status from west.

This is an economic game of Sakkilli and Kochchi who have been resident in Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia and South Africa for their own economic benefits. So called Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora does not entirely consists of Sri Lankan Tamils. Sakkilli and Kochchi from other regions of the world also claim they are Sri Lankan Tamils who are harassed by Sinhalese and fled Sri Lanka. Unfortunately they don’t have to prove their Sri Lankan citizenship.

So, it is these outside Sakkilli who destroy Sri Lankan Tamils and Sinhalese while bringing disrepute to this island for their personal economic gains. Now they shout genocide because their livelihood justification is about to be destroyed. We need to get rid of LTTE sooner.

Well, as a Sri Lankan, I would say the only way forward is getting rid of these Sakkils, good riddance!

Prof. Navindran seems to think that the Rupee/dollar rate is a god given formula to measure economic collapse. I have been asking this esteemed individual what economic collapse means. But he has not furnished me, a nobody with such valid wisdom.

But i see that you are not only contradicting him but you are also challenging God Navindran's economics. I am soooooo confused now...what should i believe, what should i .......

Well, you can always believe Miss Information!

As for Dear Sam...

For critical Sri Lankan exports like the Tea and Garment industries, a lower Rupee means that their products are better suited in very competitive markets than those products from countries with higher valued currencies.

IF the GoSL can actually start redirecting military spending that leaves the country into social spending that stays in the country the economy could be well prepared to increase production for both internal and external markets. This is easier to do with a currency that is attractive to foreign importers and tourists... two key sectors presently in trouble.
